Description: A Virtual Data Model (VDM) is a structured representation of HANA database views
designed for use with SAP HANA Live in the SAP Business Suite. It enables direct access to SAP business
data through standard SQL or OData requests.

• The VDM presents the business data from an SAP system in a clear, comprehensive, and
  actionable format, catering to the needs of transactional applications, analytics, and external
  interfaces while ensuring essential product qualities are met.
• The VDM is designed to be utilized by view browsers and other functionalities built on the virtual
  data model. This means that these views can be directly accessed by rich client UIs (such as
  HTML5, SAP BusinessObjects, and Excel) without the need for an additional software layer, like
  an ABAP application system, in between, allowing for a two-tier architecture.
